Another serious responsibility is to protect your customers and your business against fraudulent transactions. It is not unusual for ID thieves to steal credit cards or steal credit card information and use them to make a purchase. How can you detect fraud?
It is very important to take all the necessary precautions in accepting credit card payment. Don’t hesitate to take the extra time to verify the customer’s identity and the accuracy of the credit card details.
For example, for retail transactions, it is recommended to request the customer to provide at least one solid proof of identification. Check the signatures and make sure that the signatures on the ID presented, on the back of the credit card, and on the purchase receipt are exactly identical.
